Sigta Limited (SIGTA) is a group training association specialising in the training and development of people in the engineering and manufacturing sector. Sigta was formed in 1964 and operates as a not for profit organisation with charitable status. Sigta has a training centre situated in Portslde, approximately 4 miles West of Brighton. The provision offered by Sigta is predominantly delivered in the South East of England. However, national and international training projects are undertaken when required.

The principle services provided by Sigta include:

• Apprentice development
• Short courses in technical and non technical subjects.
• Bespoke course development and delivery
• Training management and support at all levels
• Qualification assessments (EAL, City & Guilds, Edexel, OCR approved assessment centre)
• Flexible, on-line learning
• Health and safety support

Sigta is committed to the promotion of engineering and manufacturing as a career choice and works with schools, the connexions service and local employers to increase apprenticeship participation in the sector. Sigta assists employers with the recruitment and selection of apprentices, provides comprehensive management of apprentice programmes and undertakes assessment of work to nationally recognised standards.
