E-learning at Sigta Ltd.

SIGTA Ltd. is a Learndirect Centre.  We are working directly in association with 'UFI' the University for Industry.   This organisation is the national body for E-learning Training provision. We are supported by other bodies such as Job Centres and other charitable organisations to help the unemloyed develop vocational skills and Basic Skills to aid them into work. Many   Sussex Businesses, (SME) organisations have used learndirct to provide support to their employees development,  Local community residents also take advantage of the vacilities at SIGTA..  

We have available in the SIGTA centre a range of smart up to date PC's and other equipment for our customers to use for their learning.  We are pleased to welcome any Members of the public, company employees as private individuals, or with the support of their company, to visit us at our pleasant and comfortable training facilities.

Learndirect is designed to make learning easy and enjoyable, and to take advantage of the Internet.  This allows a very flexible approach to your learning, with you being able to undertake this at any place you have access to the Internet. 

What equipment do you need ? :- A computer with a Ideally a Broadband connection.   A dial up modem able to operate at 56K per second will also work, but may seem slow.  A Lap top, or Desk top computer can be  used.  You would find a printer useful to print out assignments. 

If you like the idea of doing your training when you want to, and where you can have access to a computer with an Internet connection, but do not know about computers.  We can help you with that too.

This method of training is highly suited to people with disabilities and also busy managers who do not always have time to attend formal taught courses.

CD Roms are available to put in your Computer to get you going and explain how to access the internet to allow you to get started. This is the 'Surfdirect' course.
